Find someone to talk to, and be there for each other
Somewhere Kind is for the things that are hard to carry alone: worries, loneliness, a difficult day, or the need to feel heard. You are also welcome when you feel well and have room to listen.

A person, not an audience
Write a short note, choose the topics and languages that fit, and use your own nickname. We look for another adult who wants a supportive conversation. You each bring something to share and room to listen.
This is non-romantic peer support. There are no public popularity scores, profile shopping or AI pretending to be your conversation partner.
When a conversation can start
Matching runs automatically at all times. As soon as an eligible person sharing a chat language is available, we can connect you. When more people are available, preferences help choose between them.
The person on the other side may be away from their phone. We cannot promise an immediate reply. Your search stays on until you choose to stop it, so you can have conversations with several people.
Decide what feels comfortable
Share only what you want to share. Ask before offering advice and let the other person have space too. You can stop, mute, report or block at any time.
This is not therapy, a crisis service or professional care. The support page gives you another route when a peer conversation is not enough.
What your first exchange might look like
The note you write is the beginning, not an application you have to get right. You could mention one feeling, one situation, or that you have some room to listen. The other person’s note gives you a way to start too. You might acknowledge something they shared, say a little about what brought you here, and ask whether they have space for a conversation today.
There is no required order between talking and listening. Some exchanges begin with one person sharing more; others move back and forth in short messages. Reciprocity is an intention to notice the person on the other side, not a calculation of how many words each person owes. You can say what would help: being heard, thinking aloud, hearing a different experience, or simply having some company.
If a first conversation is quiet, that does not tell you how worthwhile you are to talk to. The other person may not be looking at the site or may have little energy. You can keep your search open for other connections without losing existing chats. You are also free to turn it off and come back later. The platform cannot promise another person’s availability or a particular kind of connection.
How to begin here
Write at least 20 characters about what brought you here, choose your conversation topics, and select the languages you can comfortably chat in. Then choose your own available nickname and finish the adult account setup. You decide which personal details to leave out. Your opening note may contain sensitive information, so the setup asks for separate permission to use it for the service.
We look for an available adult who shares a chat language. There is no opening time, payment queue or artificial waiting period. If several people are available, preferences help us choose between them. A connection is not a promise of an immediate reply: conversations can continue when both people have time. Your search stays on until you deliberately turn it off, and each person appears in one chat thread.
Support that has clear limits
You can remove a conversation from your feed, block someone, or report conduct that breaks the rules. You do not need to argue with the person first. Reports give the moderator relevant context; ordinary messages are not sent to AI for blanket moderation. The service is run by one operator and is not watched continuously.
This guide describes peer conversation, not treatment or a crisis response. If you need urgent or professional support, use Find support to check services for your country, their languages and their opening hours. You can use those services alongside a peer conversation. You do not have to wait for a connection here before seeking other help.
